Synopsis
In the heart of Los Angeles, Nikos and Eleni live their own chaotic "My Big Fat Greek" reality. Raising two children, 6-year-old Jason and 8-year-old Sophia, their life is a non-stop race between professional obligations and the demands of Greek School. From traditional folk dance lessons to explaining why they have to eat green beans (fasolakia) while their friends eat burgers, "Kalimera L.A." captures with humor and tenderness the adventures of a family striving to keep their Greek identity alive in modern America.
Director's Vision
"The series features a fast pace, bright cinematography (soaked in the L.A. vibe), and warm, family-centric humor. It echoes the style of "Modern Family" but is infused with an intense Greek temperament. The narrative focuses on the generational and cultural gap, viewed always through a lens of love. The goal is to demonstrate that, regardless of location, the struggles between parents and children are universal—and hilarious."About the Production
